gidday, im the lucky owner of a 28ft timber motor launch/cruiser? but i dont have any history on her. Her name is "little miss' and i have been told she is made of huon pine and built in 1949? i think she might be from a tasmanian builder but any help would be very useful. thanks annie B

shes currently at tin can bay marina but planning on taking her up the mary river to maryborough next month, shes been totally refitted inside and a pleasure to be on. sadly i cant afford to keep her much longer as the marina fees are killing the budget so if anyones interested let me know, i will be selling her by years end, boo hoo , annie B

Hey Annie,

I am from Tassie but don't recognise her. There was a book called The Tamar Boats by Betty Percy that listed every boat built on the Tamar River (Launceston) from the early 1800's to when the book was written in the late nineties. It's no longer in print but some libraries do have a copy.
If I had to guess though I might think she was built in Hobart.

Nice looking boat too.

Hope this helps.

Ben

Nice lines!
Keith53 Why don't you buy it and let me know when you are going fishing - I am only a local call away.

Hi Annie

Nice boat! You should run the question past Mori Flapan, avery helpful guy who has built up an huge database on historic Australian boats. You can lodge a question with him via his website www.boatregister.net/RegisterMenu.htm (http://www.boatregister.net/RegisterMenu.htm)
He'll either have an answer for you or will do his best to find one.

Good luck!
