Has anybody bought any of Norm's plans/video's. If so what was the cost with freight from the US or is there a source here in Aus. Btw I missed the show today and the video buggered up, what was today's project.

David,

I tried to buy a couple of plans, but they don't take Amex, and international customers cannot use the website. You need to write a letter and enclose US$ funds, after they give approval for the plans to leave the USA. All in all, very strange, and not very customer oriented, so I did not bother.

Today's episode (new series) was the first of a two part segment on setting up a workshop in a garage. Not bad, but most of the important bits will be in next week's show, so don't worry.

Bummer, I spent some time wandering around my garage this arvo trying to figure out how to make room for everything I have and everything I want.

It will probably come around again after all those episodes aired at least 3 years ago in the US.

As for the plans that is weird, Canada is a foriegn country and they dont have a problem. Its OK for us to send troops to help fight their wars but we have to get permission to buy a video on how to make a %$$#&% chair.

just a thought ..but would a US vidoe work here anyway?

Good point about the troops tho!

US videos will only work if you have a VCR/TV capable of receiving NTSC format, which I do. Most of the more recent machines are no problem, but an older one could be a worry.

I got around their xenophobia by having my sister buy it from the site and post it to me. Not too helpful for you guys unless you have a contact in the states.
Yes the vidoe is NTSC but if that is a problem then skip it, the plan is the important part.
BTW there are no instructions with the plans, just a materials list and picures of the components and whole. No do this and then do that (thats what the video is for).

It can be a bit frustrating when His Normness says " to make this easy I used my specialist tool to make a hundred in 2 minutes" but you get over it!
