Hi , im new to this site, but I have looked at a lot of your advice given to numerous people. i want to know if you can help me.

I am in need of a belt that runs from the motor to the top pully of my ryobi BDS 4600. Is there anyone who can tell me where to get one.

Yes i bought it at bunnings lol. They will put in a special order for me ,but gee do ii have to do this each ime i need one ? thanks for any help

Unless there's really something peculiar about the drive belt, an equivalent should be available at, or through, an auto parts store. Most likely a better price, too. Bring the old belt and/or specifications if on hand (should be in the user manual). [And buy two, in case of another need for replacement at an inopportune time.]

I rang up Ryobi and bought one from the spares agency. in Adelaide. I think it was about $20. I tried to buy 2, but they only had one in stock.

Joe, I don't think an auto item would fit. It's a very small belt...

Have you tried yellowpages for v belt supplies in your area?

The belt is not a v-belt. I did some searching and found a supplier in Queensland / Cairns.

The belt is not a v-belt.
Yes, but in my experience, v belt suppliers usually supply most other types of belts as well :D

Only takes two or three days special order through Bunnies.
My Ryobi 4600 has been working for over four years and I have yet to replace a belt.
(Did need to order a Ryobi bandsaw blade though)
