hi everyone , picked up the norfolk pine today some very nice pieces , will seal in the next couple of days ,
whilst at the same place i picked some banksia pieces some fairly large pieces 150mm x 300mm long i have not seen anything regarding this wood , it feels like a soft wood , anybody tried this wood ? regards nuturner . :roll:

This (http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/showthread.php?t=46076) thread gives my opinion of Banksia. I haven't seen any reason to change it. :)

banksia is biliant to turn and comes up great with a bit of oil
