what i wanna know , me being young and all i havent been around long ...but is a blue gum burl that rare that it would be worth 20 grand

$20'000 Dollars for a Burl this Size' you have to be Joking i would sell one this size for about $1'500 Dollars now $20'000 thousand is being Gready.

wow sure is big and yeah the 20 k is a bit steep but some of the prices that artwood stuff goes for in the high end art market, like 6-7k for a decent sized bowl or vase would indicate that there make be someone foolish enough to pay it...and yes I agree iwth Rob, its pretty greedy..

saw one 3 times that size at the wood show in Brisbane some years back,a redgum burl slab about 12 ft across was going for 3 k...

some people will try and make bucks from anything..

cambell and jones a local hardwood dealers has a stack of them and there about 3 m x 2 m round or roundabouts and they sell for about 1800 to 2000 dollars still pricey
