Devoted to Sorby's specialised tools but there's still something to learn regarding shear scraping, hollowing, fingernail grinds etc.

Thanks rsser, interesting stuff. I will learn heaps no doubt. I like the way they choose the timber to demo with, maybe if I supply them some of the stuff I try to mess with....

Does anyone have a set of these chisels? Are they worth the money?

Yeah, looks easy with medium density timber doesn't it? (Tho maybe it was English Ash; med. density but springy stuff).

DJ did great things with the spiralling tool at 'Ern's turnfest' ... see the thread for a pic. And Cliff liked the multi-tool tear-drop shear scraper (but it was sharpened like a std scraper btw; I get better results with an angle like that, on our timbers).
