Basswood in Brisbane

Guys,

I have been tasked with building a bucket load of plantation shutters, two houses worth, 20 odd windows. The payoff is i get some new toys to play with. I would like to get hold of some basswood, does anyone know of suppliers in Brissy, i would assume Lazerides but would prefer to try elsewhere if i could.

I cannot offer help re the basswood but have you thought about Paulownia. Port Phillip Shutters specialise in shutter kits made from Paulownia so it is a suitable species.
I have a small plantation of Paulownia and a band sawmill just over the border in NSW. I can mill to specific specifications if you can wait a few weeks for the timber to finish drying.
