Here is a pretty cool looking sharpening system, that will no doubt annoy the purist and excite the guys struggling to get any sort of a half decent edge.

looks a bit of a gimmic to me, doesn't give a hollow grind and you would be forever replacing discs. I'll stick to my trusty bench grinder.

At about 240 bucks Australian I can see a niche market for those who can't afford or justify 800 for the tormek and who dont need to do hollow grinding. Don't know how much the consumables are. I think the real advantage is that you don't need water which is a real killer around a shed full of hand tools (rust risk). I keep my Tormek well away from my tools. I noticed during the demo video that when the chisel was pushed up to the wheel the wheel was forced off its horizontal axis which I reckon would put a skew on the chisel.
