Joined the turning paternity
Went shopping at the Adelaide WWWshow, now the proud owner of Nova DRVXP with an extra extension bed an outrigger.
The stand I knocked up from recycled materials, the pipe work is 1/4" thickwall 2" irrigation pipe which is plated in 3mm steel, the top is a 8" wide 1/2" thick C section(reckon it will ever break). All up I guess its about 100~120kgs as I can only just lift it enough to move it... lucky for the engine crane
Its painted in white acrylic tinter(car paint), it cost more for the paint than for the whole stand including the bolts!

Some bits to go with the SN2 chuck, grabbed some extra sets of jaws 100mm, 75mm long nose, 25mm pin set(still on way), mini nova cole set + the standard 50mm jaws.

Chisels, I was unsure on what to get so I asked a few questions on the Nova forums, ended up following a list our made out after chatting with the Big Kahuna(Neil) and Jim Carroll at the show.
I wanted to get all P&N, but Jim didnt bring any, but he reckoned the Woodcut are just as good.
So grabbed a 10mm bowl and a 13mm spindle gouge from him, also got a Woodcut jig and a white wheel from him.
The other chisels are some of the range that Col Rayner is stocking at Northwoods, they are cheapys but thats ok because they can be my learner set once Im more experienced I'll order the P&Ns from Jim.

My 1st attempt, its about 7"dia would have been 1 1/2" deep but it went flying across the shop when I tried using the 3/8" bowl gouge. It broke the rim and chewed of half of the spigot... I couldnt rechuck it with the SN2 so I had to remount it on the face plate note the screw holes!
Tell ya what Ubeauts moto(it works)is true, the EEE and shellawax are good stuff.
