Can anybody help me?
I am chasing band saw blades - by mail/internet order.
Is there any firm other than Timbercon who has them? Timbercon don't have what I particularly want.
They are not in any of the paper catalogues that I have and I can't find any on the net either (other than Timbercon).
There must be somebody else with them!!!

Waiting for all the replies pointing out the obvious that I've missed ----

Cheers

I'm looking for BLADES with a few less teeth - (yes Allan, you can probably do something with that too). e.g 3/4" with 2 tpi (or less).

Interestingly, Timbercon in their paper catalogue don't even mention the TPI. One reason I was not overly interested in them although on their web site they do list TPI.

I'm looking for a web site (or a catalogue) that lists ALL the specs.

Does that help Ken?

Cheers

If you phone Mark at Henry Bros Saws in Sydney he'll give you the right advice and post the blades to you. They have a 3/4 " 1,25 TPI blade for cutting thick stuff and general resawing on a 14" bandsaw. I got some from him, no click click click, cuts as straight as a die and 4" jarrah either crosscut or rip with no problem and my saw is an elcheapo with a 3/4 hp motor.
Mark on 02 96275486 or [email protected]

With one of those blades you'll experience good woodcutting with your bandsaw for the first time. He can supply other sizes too.

Have fun..................Keep turning

Thank you Gatiep - that was the bit of info I was looking for.
I also have an el-cheapo 14" saw. I know it is possible to do useful work on it provided you tune it properly and have the RIGHT blade for the job.
Thanks again

Geoff,

Sounds like you got the info you needed. I was going to suggest this link for Timber Wolf blades, which are highly recommended by others who use them.

The specs are listed here.

Too obvious to think of trying!! How long have they been there because Google should have found them if they have been there for long - on the web that is.

I have already ordered some from Henry Bros but thanks anyway Darryl. I'll try their prices sometime. Some of their spelling is a bit adventuresome.
