My apologies if this question has been asked previously or if the forum considers it off topic.

I'm in process of constructing a jig for finger jointing, need 3/8" 16 tpi metal threaded rod and tee nuts. I realise that 10mm 1.5 rod and nuts is a possible (but not optimum) alternative. The 16 tpi requirement stems from a design requirement that 2 full turns equivalences to a 1/8" kerf.

Need pointers to suppliers of tee nuts (preferably UNF) in the Pakenham/Narrewarren/Cranbourne area in Victoria. Will be trying the yellow pages bolt/nut suppliers on Monday but hopefully this forum can eliminate the dross. Bunnies dont stock UNF or metric tee nuts from discussion with them on Saturday.

All pointers gratefully received.

Thanks

Hi
Cant you just buy some UNF set screws and grind the heads flat on two sides?
Just a thought.
Cheers, Allan:)

Search is over - thanks for those who that checked this posting out.

Two sources of tee nuts found in Cranbourne.

Cranbourne Steel & Bolts or Cranbourne Bolts.

Unfortunately neither they or Bunnings could supply a T-handle through threaded 3/8" by 16 tpi, so thats my next search.

Can anyone suggest a "generic" supplier - eg. cabinet makers suppliers etc who might stock such beasts?
