That looks like a decidedly unhappy Makita LS1013 in the background. Unless it is one of those cheap clones, in which case I hope you take an axe to it.

Wheelin, it doesn't make coffee, that's the Domino's job, but it makes a mean sauerkraut and Kransky soup.:o

Groggy, that an LS1214 on the Tommy Tucker stand. I just love it as a saw, shall be interesting to see who gets what slicing and dicing.:U

das cutter masjien (Klaus) is nicht fur gerfingerpokin und gerworkin by das dumkopf.
Das rubbernecken sightseerin und keepin das hands in das pockets und munchin sauerkraut.

That is is fact a Makita LS1214 SCMS. His name is Matsushita, Matt for short.:D Here's a photo of Matt with a little aquaintance, Gordon the GMC.:)

hi lgs so bought the makita now and said goodbye to the kapex the makita is a damm fine saw but kind of miss the kapexs looks! how you finding yours?

Hi Tijy,

I've had the Makita for 4 years, I bought the Kapex about 4 weeks ago. I use both, but like the Kapex for small, precise jobs. I've had no real problems with it, other than checking and correcting the bevel angles. The Makita is a most excellent saw though and I'd never sell it.
