Looks like a hoot Cliff.

Will you be dropping a line in for breakfast Barramundi? ;-}

And did the big pen (2004) crack the record?

Never miss it.

The Barra in the dam are huge but a bit muddy tasting while the water is low.

And did the big pen (2004) crack the record?
Good question, can't remember.... I'll ask & get back to you. :?

Are you one of our mystery pros?

How far north are you going this trip?

Other members from WWF who go are Powderpost & Old Croc.
I think there was somebody else too but I can't remember.

If you go via Emerald, give Vern (TTIT) a hoy.

I'm trying to get him to come to Prossy but he says he is too busy.

Are you bringing any gear with you?

Ken and Helen stayed with us last night and this morning we traded some of my best figured Qld Maple and Eastern Dead Finish for some of the best Red Gum blanks and burls I have ever seen.:DOffered him a 500mm log of Honduras Mahogony I had just pulled out of the forest, but said it was too plain, fussy Honary Queenslander.:C
Anyway 2 sleeps to go and off to Prossie, catch up with Cliffie, and The Postpowder, and Vic Wood will be there, should be able to learn a lot.
Hope can take our odd sense of humour,:2tsup:

I'm back... what did I miss.

Saw , Powderpost & Old Croc.

The only photo I have is of a very 'out of focus' possum trying to climb onto the BBQ, I think he may have been drinking. :D

I gave powderpost a bit of Native Bauhinia (Lysiphyllum carronii I think) to try 'cos I know it can be turned very fine.

He made a couple of lace bobins out of it & made these pieces out of the end bits that were left over.

Sizes, from left to right.

14mm x 5mm Goblet
18mm x 7mm Goblet with a captive ring
9mm x 7mm Egg cup
7mm x 5mm Egg

It was a good event.

It was a pleasure to meet Jim (Powderpost), Richard (Old Croc) and Cliff. Saw some interesting things and learnt some new tricks.

Caught up with Vern (TTIT) on the way home.

Sometimes I wish I turned smaller stuff. With all the offers of timber the truck would have been full and Julie would have had to fly home.

Went to Adelaide for the Forum gathering there. Another good event.

Croc took this pic but he couldn't post it 'cos it was too big.

giving Anne some guidance.

I have some more on order but they haven't arrived yet.

As the photo shows, can actually turn small items, probabily not as small as Jims minatures. Wife and I arrived at about lunch time on Friday and I went straight to the main tent, so much to see and did not want to miss anything, and next minute this bloke walks up and says hi " I'm the axe wielding bastard". That was my into to , and the weekend just got better. Don't know how but each year there seems to be more things to learn, more contacts to make and the new friends we make, if we could only get Cliffie to pack up a little bit earlier next year.To all the mexicans and blues supporters that came I hope you enjoyed it and see you next year,
Crocy.:U
