Okay Im on the hunt again... the little grandson through his mobile milkshake maker has requested I make myself a grandpoppys clock for my birthday... great idea I thought... so after figuring out that the little fella meant a grandfather clock Im now on the hunt for some plans and info on where to get the bits an bobs for it... the face donger thingy etc :2tsup:

ahem... that wont break the bank!! :C

WD - if you are interested in a craftsman style clock - 1.8m high with frame and panel construction, I could send you some plans. Not the full plans - I don't have these, rather a set of exploded dimensioned diagrams plus the full 'how-to' 12 page article.

I've ordered items off J Knowles a number of times. I've always had excellent service off him, and items are mailed very quickly. I'd recommend him...

Wheelin mate I was up in Carbetex recently (like a week or so ago) and not only didnt they have what I drove 200+ clicks to get but didnt have the clock parts I wanted either... in fact they didnt have much of what I wanted :~ ...but somehow or other they still managed to snuffle 700 out of me wallet!! :doh:

have you got your clock sorted? If not have a look at this crowd in Canada. I have imported a bit of their stuff over the years. The really nice thing is they can provide plans, movements, dials etc to fit. They also can supply hard to make bits. Here is my Gpappy clock from their plans (and I used some of their hard to make bits too, like the pediment and fluted columns...

Of course it is a bit costly to import movements - CMI, previously mentioned has those.
