I've finally saved up the $$ but now I can't decide on which drumsander to buy. There are 4 that I am looking at

Carbatec 400 mm 1 hp motor for $999

Sherwood 16" (=4oomm) 1 hp for $869

Jet 10/20 1 hp motor $780

or

Jet 16/32 1.5 hp motor for $1,150

I have a Jet bandsaw which has served me well but other than that I am stuck. I need a brain's trust or Eddie to tell me the right answer. Any suggestions from the Forum?

Jet for me.
Better motor
Better dust extraction.
Better drive belt on moving table.

The Performax is a very fine unit.
The Ebay item mentioned is the 16-32 model.
If you haven't looked at the Performax range, they are well worth investigating.
Good luck.

Get a price from GPW on the 16-32 Jet $1040 :D was the price I was quoted a couple of days ago. For me that seems to be the best available at the moment.

thanks guys. Is the performax the same as the Jet but with a different label - like the 12" thicknesser range?
