A nice snake, but can he talk? SWMBO banned me from having one, so now I'll pester her to let me get the chooks she also banned. :-

Nice shots there mate and a good looking snake. i'm pestering the wife for a few lizards at the moment. Got a mate moving up here in about six weeks who is keen on reptiles so with a bit of luck he might be able to convine her to let me start a collection.

Some pics of our serpentine pet .
Six and a half foot Darwin Coastal Python, have had her for about four years , she started out at about 2 and half feet long when we first got her.
These pics are also a bit old ,but youll get an idea of her colouration.
She is a very gentle creature and handles easily with no attempts to bite ,(thank Christ ,she has a mouth full of nasty looking teeth.)
She now resides in a 7 ft glass tank with a wooded top I made ,it has three opening doors covered with 1/2" square wire mesh.
We dont have any heating as it is not really needed up here ,in the colder weather she snuggles up in a hollow log .
