Hi,
This is my first effort at a real piece of furniture. Got the design from a Time/Life book but modified the depth to suit holding CD's.
Wood is all solid Tassie Oak except for the backing which is ply.

Mik,
Thanks.
I used a cedar stain made up by my local paint shop. He made the stain to match what SWMBO required. I think he based it on Wattyl Craftsman stains.
I then applied four coats of U-Beaut clear shellac and finished it off with U-Beaut traditional wax. Lots of rubbing down between.
The shelves are supported on "ladders" - 19mm wide steel chromed "C" section with slots every 10 mm. Just routed two trenches on each side to fit. Bought it from Parbuy's in Adelaide.
