the chizzels are beautifull so easy and natural to hold and use.

the big bowl gouge has a bit to short of a handle in my opinion but it is still great.

With the other tools and accessories, why not make a new handle? Good christening project for it. Nice score, BTW.

Congrats weisyboy. Sounds great.

Joe took the words out of my mouth about a new handle. Easy and satisfying.

To remove the old one, do a series of drill holes parallel with the shaft inside the ferrule, lift off the ferrule and pull the shank free.
Care with the drilling may allow you to recycle the ferrule.

Well when you are a grumpy old ba##ard that spent a childhood learning the "normal" spelling it's like a foreign language.

Short answer = yes it bl##dy is

They think they're on to something new and arcane. They're not. Over a hundred years ago, telegraph operators did the same, to reduce transmission time. According to my late Dad (ex-wireless operator in Merchant Marine), the stilted phrase in newspaper reports "shot and instantly killed" was sent as SAIK.

Ditto ham and Signal Corps radio operators. Special 2 and 3 letter codes for specific objectives; a few of many:
CQ = anybody on air? (Seek you)
YL = girl friend (Young lady)
XYL = wife (ex-young lady)
73 = Good bye (no mnemonic)

Hundreds more.
