Hi

Can anyone tell me the thread size on the Woodfast MC908, it is smaller than my Vicmarc so I'm guessing 25mm, also if anyone has Op manual or any documentation at all I will happily pay for a copy. Just got one as a first Lathe for a friend so any info at all will help.

Thanks
DanF

If the thread spindle dia is 25mm, it's most likely an Inch, as for what thread it is, you need to count how many TPI (thread per inch) there is. It will be either 8 or 10.

So going on that, it will be either 1"x10 or 1"x8

1-8 UNC is the more likely, and usually used on lathes. 1-10 UNS is a "S"pecial standard, not frequently used.

But [Woodfast Aust] is a member here. A PM should settle the question*. Or perhaps better yet, open his profile and select "Find all posts"; the question has likely come up before.

* Might also be able to provide a manual. If you don't ask, you don't get.

Blimey. Google found 30 x 3.5 for that model. Probably has variations within the model series. Measure twice, cut once. (Or buy accessories once.)

My Woodfast MC908 has a standard 30mm x 3.5 thread.
USA - Canada 1" x 8tpi
Europe 30mm x 3.5tpi
