My father an avid woodworking tool collector from Adelaide, recently purchased a Chaplin No 1/2 woodworking plane. He has been told by a collector in Melbourne that only three of this particular model have been identified. Photographs of the plane are at http://www.msnusers.com/ChaplinOneHalfPlane/shoebox.msnw?Page=1

Any information you can supply about this plane, including its possible sale value would be greatly appreciated.

I can be contacted at [email protected] and will pass on any information, questions or offers to my father.
