Hi,

I am travelling to Tassie shortly and will have an afternoon free in Hobart.

Apart form wandering down to the docks, is there anywhere I can go (in the city / walking disctance from CBD) that's worth a look? Any maritime museums, bopat-builders, bookshops, etc?

I'll do a search tonight but wanted to know if anyone had good suggestions.

Thanks,
Darren

Looks like these guys may help you. The Wooden Boat Guild of Tasmania (http://www.maritimetas.org/taswoodenboatguild/index.html).
It seems that they have regular meetings, and there's contact details, and project details in their newsletter.

The Maritime Museum is diagonally opposite constitution dock on the corner of Davey & Argyle St.
