The tool shown in the pics was made mainly to give me a tool suitable as a scraper for use on Jarrah with complicated grain but ended up being used on large projects as well as a straight or skewed scraper. It is also handy to flatten the surface and cut a dovetail style spigot for insertion into the chuck.
The weight with the HSS cutter is 1.85 Kg. The balance and the handle fit under arm makes for it being an excellent tool

Nice one Mike :2tsup:, also noticed the the end of the handle looks sharp, you may want to round the edges off a bit, in case of a big dig in :o

Thanks for the comment about the handle end - it is chamfered a bit but I will unsharpen it further

Ohh yes ........... the viking is not far from the surface, you will belive me if you ever sav me with one of the finer woodworking tools, Chainsaw (bigone) Ax or the trusted sledhammer....
