As a car person, I've felt this is worth flagging with anyone else who's persevering with repairs or restorations.
2007 seems to have sped up recently, and many of Sydney's platers, beadblasters, metal polishers, machine shops and the like are flat stick. It's stretching turnarounds out to nearly double the usual and some are even talking about closing their books early.
So - if you're thinking about doing something - procrastinate at your peril! It's going to screw me on one job (pictured), but I don't want to see anyone else face similar hassles needlessly.
