Merbu Decking. STAIN or OIL ?????

Many thanks to the replys to my last problem. Now for the next question. What to use to complete the Deck. Should you use Stain or Oil, and what brand name.

I am not sure what is best by a pool. Last thing you want is an oil sheen on the water. I would be asking someone like a pool installer what they use. For any other hardwood deck I would go with decking oil.

More correctly denco, just so you get the answers you need, sounds like you want pros & cons for oil finishes vs film type finishes like polyurethane.

Stain is actually a colouring agent, as distinct to the actual finishing product.
