Metal Tubing

Hi all,

I was wondering whether anyone knows a place they can recommend to buy some metal tubing from? I need to buy some to make some retractable legs, and I only know Bunnings as a place to sell it. so if any of you out there know a place where i can buy it cheaper please pass it on :2tsup:

I am not sure where you are, but Metaland are in most places of any size, they are certainly here in Bendigo.

Look in the Yellow Pages, on paper or on-line, for Steel Merchants.

We have about 3 or 4 here in Bendigo, one specialises in "seconds" stock, and I tend to get my steel tubing from them.

where in sydney are you,I find simms metal quite good on price(Full lengths only).

Edcon steel also are on a par for price (advantage with them they cut to size)

Does it need to be steel?
You can get aluminium in telescopic sizes from various specialty aluminium suppliers.
