I have been asked to turn a clock with a face diameter of about 90 mm.

I don't think it has to be to fancy, just a good basic clock.

I have a suitable insert, so has anybody got any ideas please

Thanks .:2tsup:

Google [woodturning clock] provides heaps of hits.

Probably best to turn the recess for the clock first, while the workpiece is still balanced. From then on, let your imagination run wild. The remainder could be turned, cut with a bandsaw or scroll saw (thickness limited to the saw stroke, more or less), or carved, etc. etc.
