I've just put together a new Incra Ultra 16". It definitely lives up to it's reputation. Incredible!
Worried about the price? Here's a tip. Check out the prices from
www.woodpeck.com and get a quote for 7-10 day us postal freight. This will work out to about Aus$400-$408. Take this to your friendly local supplier and haggle. This is what I did and ended up with my 16" unit delivered to my door from a local supplier for $408.00.
I mean lets face it, they have to be importing these things for about$180.00.

With the way the dollar is going, tools from the US are getting quite cheap. I'm amazed you got that sort of discount from a local supplier. I'm dying to get Miter 1000SE but the local prices here are crazy.

Great move Termite. Negotiating with local suppliers with overseas quotes could be the answer. Keeps the bucks in Australia and provides a warranty and keeps the locals competitive.
I wonder if Bunnings will give a 10% reduction based on overseas quotes?

cheers,
