Hey I'm new to all the joints. One question but how do you do joints like they do on some of the boxes. I was never taught how to do them. So how? lol I googled them and it came up with The half-blind dovetail joint

Hey thanks for the reply :D I might just stick with some dowel and glue for now lol

I have got other stuff i need to get over christmas before i think about anything like that lol

For your first go at a dovetail joint, try this template generator
http://www.blocklayer.com/Woodjoints

You can print the templates out, fold over some scrap and cut through the paper template to form the tails. Then use the tail piece to mark the other piece.

It's an easy way to get the hang of how they go together before you start the real one.
