View Full Version : big drum sander or thicknesser in wa????

hey guys i'm wondering if there is anyone in wa with a big drum sander or thicknesser???? i have a 690mm wide slab of marri for a coffee table top and the slab was realy warped when i got it. i have used a belt sander for ages to try and get it flat and i'm pretty close but can't get it right. any other suggestions welcome! I don't even know if they come in that size,:?

Hi

There is a woodwork shop in Willeton specifically set up for the use of woodworkers. You pay for the time you use on the machine.

They have a huge drum sander that will handle 690mm easily. I think it is either 900 or 1200 wide :)

I used the workshop 18 months ago to bulid a large laminated kitchen counter top. I can't recall the name or details. It *might* be in Yampi Way Willetton.

i thought that was the case. i thought it was the tafe that did it but i rang them and they said they stopped it about a year ago.?????
will have to try and source the number!
