munruben 30th December 2007, 01:43 PM IrfanView is a good free program that can sharpen pictures among other things. you can download it from Here (http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm) I have used it and it is quite good.
supports a lot of pic formats.
Master Splinter 30th December 2007, 05:00 PM You don't need to sharpen it - what you really need to do with that is to vectorise (convert it from a bitmap to a vector shape) it - there a very good free online utility for it here - http://vectormagic.stanford.edu/
Once its a vector file you can scale it endlessly without it getting the jaggies, and its easy to touch up wonky lines.

amanda223 8th January 2008, 11:27 PM Well i know only one smothhen/sharpen image program is irfan view .. try to download it from.. www.download.com
autogenous 2nd March 2008, 07:13 PM Try starting at a higher resolution such as 320 DPI (dots per inch) then vectorize.
High DPI should provide smoother edges to start prior to a vectorize.

Vector magic, is no longer a free download, can you suggest how I might get a "copy", or something similar.

Master Splinter 25th April 2008, 10:54 PM Ken -
They are apparently working on a stand-alone version, but its not released yet.
Just register on the site - it entitles you to two free online vectorisations. When I need to use it I register with a throwaway address. (temporaryinbox.com)
Firefox has a nice plug in that auto-generates an email address at temporaryinbox and lets you check it at the press of a button.
