havent had much time to post this during the christmas days but here goes ..

scarfholders hair thingies. Made from Cherry and "palisander"

pens are cocobolo, ambrosia, European set
birch mansur "thuja" neck less pens
bog oak (black with gold slim)
teachers are Cuba mahogoni curly maple "palisander"
tops are cherry and "akacie" Mabye its wattle

accesories are "palisander" cuba mahogonie and Elm burl..

i have also done some rough turning and some other small stuff. (not enough hehe)

i had the pleasure of showing a friend of mine the wonders of the great vortex in the shed.. Heīs down with severe stress and havent been able to work for 3 months. but a good case of beers and some time turning was balm for the sole. i showed him how to make his own pen and we did som other small stuff. it was great...


commentīs and suggestions are more than welcome...

finish is sand to 1200 + myland friction polish and carnuba buffede on with a rag.
i realy like the friction polish stuff...

nice peices mate:2tsup:...the double ended pen looks interesting.might have to borrow that idea:cool:

yep teaches pen one black and one red. my mother has been teaching for more than 30 years so it was the obvious gift for her. Its a pennstate kit.

so is it a specialised kit or just two half slimlines sharing a top tube?

thees are kits but you could do it with loose parts. insterst are short to make room for the 2 insterst.

Excellent work, Rasmus! I was particularly pleased to see what you call "scarfholders" - as I'm sure you realise, that design is truly ancient, and was shared by your Viking and my Irish ancestors, who most commonly used such brooches to pin their cloaks together at the shoulder.

that was where i stole the idea in the first place....

The teach pens where very well recived by both teachers. and they where great fun making..
