Makita triton RE Bosch Triton ETc

I have a Makita Router mounted on a Triton 2000 Series, Both have never been used by me as I am a novice, and interested in getting involved, and on reading some prior posts do you feel that the Makita model B36 is suitable comparing it with a Bosch and Triton Routers,
Or another brand,( plenty of expert advice I need).

I have both a bosh and triton router, both have soft start and all the features you would expect from big high-end routers.

The triton router however is best suited to the triton router table because I find it more dificult to use hand-held than my bosh router. Another good set of features like heinght adjustment when inverted and the router collet extending past the base and becoming accessable make it a cinch to change the bits, where this was difficult to do when I had the bopsch router mounted in the same table.

Hi Phil,
If you are starting out I would stay with the Makita router. Makita make a quality router and although it is not designed for the Triton Router table I am sure it will work. IMHO it is not worth going out and spending over $400 just to get a triton router at this stage.
There are woodworkers out there using router of far less quality of the Makita and producing fine woodwork.
Try the Makita and find out what you want to do then review where you are in six/twelve months.
If you are starting out read all you can about using a router table as an exposed cutter running at over 20,000 rpm needs to be treated with respect.
