OK Hairy got me started on another boat, kayak this time and while waitng for the plans thought I might make the paddle for it while I wait.
Any plans, ideas on the design or timber choices? A broomstick with a couple 200x19 pine ovals nailed to it doesn't seem to cut it :D

boatmik has a fairly easy to build and pretty, free paddle plan on his website.

:D:D

I've built one or two of Mik's paddles, but as usual digressed from the plan so won't post pics! (One of them has a hollow shaft, 2.5 mm thick pine so it doesn't weigh much!)

I'm building a couple of others at the moment too, but it's too early to start the how-to and they're single paddles not doubles.

Could you document the process? I know Mik would be most appreciative, as would many others.

Cheers,
