G'day woodies,
I'm looking for someone to do a few small bits of burl turning for me ... end caps for a line of custom fishing rods I'm building. Tapered cones with a half inch hole in the top ... tapering from 1" to around 2". I've got some 2" square blanks of sheoak and jarrah burl about 5 -6 inches long. Looks pretty simple but I'm without a lathe at present and am unlikely to get mine set up for several weeks or even months! Aaargh! Can pay with real money or with a custom rod if anyone's keen. PM me if interested. I'm in Manly NSW but this sort of thing can be sent through the post, so location isn't a problem.
