I don't think you are that far from the truth. A few years back at a BBQ with a wheelie bloke I know, he was telling me of mods he made to his chair.
OK its not quite the drag chair YET! , but he had :
Rewound the motor
Changed the gear ratio
Modified the electronics
He did not mention mag wheels and wide tyres ,but with John you never know.
