Turning Chisel Sharpening sponsored by Northwood Tool Company and Tormek
We have made arrangements to provide training on Saturday 9th February 2008 at our premises in 16-20 Rosehill Drive Burpengary starting 9:30am, allow 2.5 hours . The topic is one close to every woodturner's heart. Sharpening your chisels. There will be a commercial slant as we will have the new Tormek T-7 being demonstrated as well as the new Woodturner's Kit and the unique Woodturner's instruction box. This last item includes a DVD with many helpful hints and guides not specific to TORMEK so great value.

However, I will also have a well respected independent professional turner here to discuss some of the sharpening issues that may arise. Without releasing his name right now, he has many years experience, has won many competitions, his work is on display around the world and he regularly teaches as well, so he is well equipped to help with almost any issue. Invaluable opportunity for turners to get first hand training.

Also, while I won't make any rash promises, if you have a particular tool that is causing you trouble bring it along and we might even be able to get it tuned and sharpened for you with some help about how to use it.

We will have several TORMEK T-7 machines here so some direct hands on exposure will be the order of the day.

If you have any interest in turning, and find the mass crowds of the general wood shows make learning difficult, then the more personal touch of this session will be a great morning for you.

Numbers are strictly limited as you can imagine, please book early so we can confirm your place.
