dont know if this is any good for you guys,
but there is a huge pile of fig, mahogany gum (i think) and possiably prunis on the nature strip at the end of Cowper st Brighton. has been sawn up into 10-12 inch bits,

I can load up and keep a few bits if you want me to or come and get it.

Astrid:)

Just to add to Astrid's kind post: the diameters aren't huge. Biggest around a hand-span and a half wouldn't you say Astrid?

I'm pretty sure I've green turned the white stuff (the fig) before: great for green bowl turning and when thin and hot it goes almost plastic without cracking (if it's the same stuff).

One of them is fig, i asked the guy next door
they have just laid the entire back garden to waste, hes not a happy neighbour. the fig was huge so there may be some bigger bits in the pile.
