i am trying to convert my waypints from degrees minutes and decimal minutes (ddd.mm.mmm) to degrees minutes and seconds (ddd.mm.ss) to use in google earth but my poor math skills just cant do it.

all i need to know is how to convert decimal minutes to seconds.

please help me.

Can't you just change the display setting on your GPS to display points in ddd.mm.ss?

Normally that will also change the way the waypoints are displayed.

Try this spreadsheet Weisyboy.

I wrote it so that there can be 2 or 3 digits for the degrees, always 3 digits for minutes integers and always 4 digits for minutes decimal fractions.

The formulae go down to row 250.

thanks wb it works well i have never use excel befor but sound good to me.
