what am i made of?

no not me this bowl.

i am not sure of the timber but it was soft and almost rubbery. it turned well and came to a nice shine easily. it had bark mutch like jackaranda.

all i know is it is one beautiful timber and i would like to get more if only i knew what it is.

it was cut up in to blocks by a local tree lopper so no leaves.:doh:

it came from the wesurn suberbs are.

the bark looks like tipuana.

whae it was green the smaller peices (100mm-25mm thick) would bend. it has gone hard now thow.

I have more of this unknown stuff than I care to admit...sigh. Buts its great to turn, sorta like a lucky dip :D
