Hey, I'd like to hear the results of some of the guitars on this forum. You guys should upload some sound samples. After all, we build guitars for their tone :)

thats very true, unfortunately to record a guitars sound on a decent amp can be difficult without decent equipment. ive been trying a bit with my mp3 player (i made an amp aswell, so i want to show off everything ive made, from the pickups to the guitar to the amp. when i record i often have trouble getting the sounds as id like them. either it doesnt sound great, or overdrives the mic when too close to the speaker and i turn it up to get some nice overdrive. ill figure it out. doesnt help that i cant stop playing when i go down to record.

i am still trying and will get it done in the near future, but not quite yet.

true that high quality recordings are a challenge

Many people use microphones (which are bloody expensive)
I use my amp's headphones port and connect it to my line in on the computer.
Also, you CAN go direct from guitar to computer with a 3.5mm - 6mm connector, however you'll only get the clean settings.

other alternatives include special hardware such as line6's toneport.
