This took 437 hours over 8 months. I did it while a student and ended up winning the North of England Woodcaving show with it.
Its called "The Smoke Screen". The First panel shows a labourer off to work. The second Smiths Dockyard in Middlesbrough and the third shows him returning to his family at the end of the day. The panels are oak the frames are sycamore and the hinges padouk.

Shame about the lack of detail-on my monitor at least- but regardless it looks to be an awsome work of a craftman.

You must be pretty damn proud. I would be.

I can see a fair bit in my monitor, and it looks great.
Nice work.

437 hours = about 50 working days, at (?) dollars per hour.....
Sheesh, glad I'm not buying it.

:D

The first offer I had for it was £15000 (approx $45000 at the time). I sold it but not for the first offer. I figured I could always do it again but time has been the enemy.:(

No other carvings. Its a one off. I have plenty of pics of furniture I have made so I will post a couple of bits and pieces.
