I have pulled my old Stihl 076 out of the shed and I would like to get it up and running. Its been sitting for a while so I would like to go right through it and give it a freshen up. (Its going to do a fair bit of work)
I have been looking for a service manual for it and came across this on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/STIHL-051AV-051-076-076AV-REPAIR-MANUAL-NEW_W0QQitemZ7738833264QQihZ018QQcategoryZ20538QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem
Anyone purchased the same manual as this and is it any good?:?
I have a copy of the parts manual but would like the service manual.

Thanks...Mark:2tsup:

Fire a PM off to martrix (http://www.woodworkforums.com/member.php?u=5683), pretty sure he has bought one and is using it to rebuild his saw

I have one of these (the saw (http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/showthread.php?t=50374) and the manual) and the manual is fine for most purposes. The 051 has a different cc but otherwise the 051 and 076 are the same basic engine. See

The one on Aboriste is the parts manual. You have to ask one of the members for the service manual - its 12 Mb so they won't load it onto their forum - maybe there are copyright issues as well.

I always reckon it's worth having manuals as a book. By the time you print it out and bind it up into something that can be used in a workshop you might as well buy the thing. I guess it depends how quickly you need it.
