My out of the box WDS 400 drum sander has 2mm further off the feed platen at the motor end than at the outboard end. Outboard end is easy to adjust - shims provided, but for teh motor end instructions say to loosen four Conveyor alignment bolts, of which 2 are hidden behind teh platen conveyor drive motor. Anyone else solve this problem?

Can you adjust the outboard end to suit the motor end. instead of adjusting the motor end

Nope - but solved the problem after much cogitating and contemplating in the quiet of teh shed. Buggars put the platen drive in front of teh adjusting screws, so loosened off the drive mount (gently!) enough to slip a hex key into the bolt and able to adjust teh height on two identically cut lengths of hardwood on teh plated at each end of teh drum.

Its only a baby sander but for that half or quarter mm its quite brilliant. tested on 5 play and took the first layer of ply off almost perfectly. Does leave some lines but nutin a scraper can't fix.
