Drive on lathe spindle is 1 inch 8tpi
. I am wanting to get some nuts from Blackwoods to make up some chucks,is the above thread UNC..??

Both UNC and whitworth are 8 tpi at 1" but whitworth are at 55 deg and unc are at 60 deg , best way is to get aset of thread gauges and check:2tsup:
