Hi it’s been a while since I’ve posted work seems to take up to much time. I’ve been working on this trestle style dining table since Christmas and just got the table top glued up. The whole table is made of black wood the two legs are m&t into the foot with doweling pins drilled into them to lock them into place and the legs are on a 5 degree lean in with a arched support rail between the two I still need to square the ends of the table top up.
I would like to put book end on the ends of the table (I think that is what you call them) I’m not sure how to do this I know you need to use a spline but gluing this on would coarse problems with wood movement. I’m also going to cut the side of the table so it is slightly oval in shape.
