Melting wood holy smoke what next steel that grows on tree's
nah, those steel trees are hardly worth the effort,
the last bike tree I planted produced a pretty average crop.:)
the melted bowl is completely hand carved,
to tell the truth I've never touched a wood lathe in my life, but I have a whole bunch of mates that are turners and they keep trying to get me into it,
I showed this to them as my first unsuccesfull attempt at turning,
I will get into turning at some stage, and am constantly keeping an eye out on the 'for sale' thread for a lathe (wish I knew what I was looking for)
thanks for all the comments
cheers John

Love the bike in the tree,
