Does anyone know of anyone in Perth who can repair the brass (nut) threads on table worms and also on revolving stools. Would rather have the originals fixed than buy new ones.

First I would suggest that the metal work section of the forum may shed more light on who can repair it, sounds like you will need a new nut part made from scratch, if it is stripped out there is not realy practical way to repair it that I know of

Thanks for your help, I am taking them to show an old metal working friend and see if he can either repair or make new ones.

I've always had to replace the brass threads on table winders and revolving stools.
If their old the softer brass on the thread has usually worn away and no longer fits the other bit properly hence the wobble in the stool seat.

theres a guy in melbourne that casts brass parts, dont know about perth.

If you cant find anyone, try Rex banfield 0395961298
