Cut these rosegum slabs the other day, nice timber, quite hard to cut though,the fairly new chain was finding it hard on the butt,widest section was only 500mm.Have another 2 logs a bit smaller to do.Sorry about fotos not the best photographer.

thanks weisyboy,yeah i sealed the ends straiht away after felling just used some house paint.might try the PVA next time.got a big qld blue gum next to mill.gotta get some bigger bar and chains though first oh and a electric chain sharpener as well i reckon:oo:

it is best to seal 4" up the slab as well not just the ends. the blue gum will split and warp like bugery so keep it out of the sun and strap it down.:2tsup:
