Turned today an Oval tealight holder for the birthday of my daughter Karin.
Had to turn it in a hurry, because tomorrow she celebrate her birthday, so not much time left for me, and it seems to me very nice to give her my first oval turning as a present. Well I have to bring up lateron a couple of finishing layers.
It's an oak tealight holder 200x170mm, turned it first with a parting tool to get the oval shape more or less, and after that with a sharp pointed bow gouge. Turned pretty well.
Thanks for looking, and comments are very wellcome.
Cheers. Ad :)
