For those of you who don't know, the Ulysses Papilio is one of Australia's most beautiful butterflies.
Up here in the north of Queensland they breed freely in the right tree.
We have a corkwood tree in the frontyard and the butterflies love breeding in it.
The first 4 pictures show the different stages of the butterfly emerging from the pupa, the next show that the butterfly has almost finished pumping up his wings and the 6th was taken just a second before he flew away.
The next picture show another one laying eggs and the last one is a picture I designed and stitched.
Cheers

Great set of photos Wolffie!:2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:
As kids we used to see plenty of butterflies where I grew up but unfortunately their numbers seem to have declined over the years.
There were plenty of Wanderers/Monarchs breeding on what we called wild cotton bushes, we also raised silkworms.
I'm still amazed by the transformation from egg to butterfly and love to watch hatchings when I get the chance.
